Dogtopia was a blast

Monday, September 29th, 2008

We had a great time helping to open Dogtopia. Mikey went beserk going after Dog Nasty as did a few others.

A friend of ours told us recently that their pup played so hard with Dog Nasty that her gums started to wear from the Velcro. Listen, Dog Nasty is addicting and durable, so yeah, after two weeks, the toy keeps going strong. We recommend you supervise your dogs always while playing with all toys. If you see anything abnormal, you’re just going to need to break your pup’s heart and pull that Dog Nasty away.

Here comes the RUNDOWN:

1. Dog Nasty is available at 2 retail locations and 1 shelter. Go to Phydeaux, Three Dog Bakery NC, or PawFect Match Rescue for the goods if you don’t want to pay full price plus shipping.

2. We met a great trainer that can teach your dog how to behave with young children and babies. Thanks Jennifer Shryock for showing us and all prospective parents how to introduce our children to our children!

3. CARA rescue has some amazing dogs that need your help. Please visit their site.

4. Another great trainer Sylvie can help prevent your pup from tearing up your children’s stuffed animals. By the way, your dog tears up your kids toys because they look like his. Get some Dog Nasty and solve this problem!

5. SchnOcoberfest this weekend!… WHADDUP!!! A benefit for the North Carolina schnauzer rescue, but all dogs are welcome! Go to the website to find out more.

Here are things we are hearing from our customers:

1. If your dog is very aggressive with toys, don’t use the full velcro and make it easier for your dog to open it.

2. Close the flaps when washing. The velcro lasts longer.

3. Fill slip nasty with other material (socks, old shirts, old toys) to replicate “de-stuffing” that dogs seem to love. Keep them coming, and a special thanks to everyone who loves their dog nasty gear.

Dog Nasty Now Available!

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008

If you live anywhere near Apex, NC, get over to Three Dog Bakery! They have a limited supply of Dog Nasty Dog Toys, and good ole Okie is in the back loving life with his toy. While you’re there, pick up the greatest, tastiest, treats you can find for your dog.

Believe me, I’ve eaten them myself! Three Dog Bakery treats are made with quality safe ingredients for canine and human consumption. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Thanks to everyone who came to the Unchain the Dog Coalition Benefit concert. Dog Nasty was there, participated in some raffle action, and bought some shirts from them. They do exactly what they say… Unchain the Dog!

By the way, if you keep your dog on a chain, you suck.

Pictures from the event will be posted soon.

For those of you that bought our toys, thank you so much. It’s great to know that people want to keep their dogs happy. Remember, at the end of the year Dog Nasty calculates it’s revenues for the year and takes a chunk to donate to shelters and rescues. Join the cause, get a great toy, and party.

Go to Three Dog Bakery in Apex. Diane is the best. Tell her Dog Nasty sent ya!

Join Us at a Benefit Concert, Sat Sept. 6

Friday, September 5th, 2008

We don’t believe dogs enjoy being attached to a chain any more than chewing on old and tattered toys.

Join us and show your support to unchain dogs this Saturday, September 6th, at the Coalition to Unchain Dogs’ second annual benefit concert.  Go to Durham Central Park at 4:30 for great live music, food, games for kids, and fun for dogs!

Dog Nasty will be there if you’d like to learn more about our mission and products.

For more info about the concert, visit: http://www.unchaindogs.net/benefit08.html
